RivKids
RivKids is our weekend services ministry for infants - 6th graders. We have RivKids programming during all services at the Holt Venue.
RivKids is in the process of restructuring and refocusing volunteers for the 2010-2011 school year (September - May).
Here are the key points of the new system:
- There will be 33 teams of at least 6 people each, with 3 or more of those individuals serving in the same classroom at the same service each week.
- Teams will take ownership of their classrooms for the school year and have summer off.
- Team Leads will be responsible for working with their teams to create a schedule for their classroom.
- RivKids staff will provide each team with lesson plans in advance so they will be adequately prepared.
This system will increase the familiarity and comfort level of kids with their mentors and allow for increased accountability of volunteers to each other and to kids. This should lead to community based, Life Group oriented classes in which kids learn about Jesus, the gospel, and that relationships matter.

RivKids Volunteer Training at LEAD
RivKids will be offering volunteer training during LEAD on Saturday, September 18 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. There will be basic training for new volunteers or anyone who missed the training sessions on August 29 and 30, as well as a training on classroom management skills that all our volunteers will be able to benefit from.Click here to learn more about and register for LEAD
The Jr. Service Team (5th - 8th Graders)
Kids on the Jr. Service Team are involved by serving younger children during Riv's weekend services.

The Refresh Zoo Crew
Refresh is Riv's ministry for moms of young children, and Zoo Crew is the Refresh program for infants - preschoolers. Refresh, Riv's ministry to moms with young kids, needs workers for our Zoo Crew Program for infants, toddlers and preschoolers. We meet alternating Thursday mornings during the school year. RivKids CPR Training

For those of you who signed up for CPR training during the RivKids Volunteer Training on Aug 29 or 30 - the CPR session will be occuring at 5:30-6:30 pm in the Fireplace Rm at Riv. It will cost $5 per person and is being run by the Delhi Fire Dept.
